Contactivity walks with cops

Westmount’s Contactivity Centre held its fourth Walk-with-a-Cop event on June 11 with 26 in attendance, including 12 Walkie Talkies (Contactivity’s 60+ walking group), eight officers from Station 12 in Westmount and six members of RECAA (Respecting Elders, Communities Against Abuse). The walk was dedicated to World Elder Abuse Awareness Day on June 15. Contactivity outreach worker Fiona Smith, Walkie Talkies coordinator Karen Evoy and socio-community-relations officer Stéphan Laperrière also lent a hand with the event, which (after coffee at Mouton Noir) ended up at Contactivity, where an information kiosk and soup awaited the participants.
